Q&A

We have supplied some tips below which may help if you’re having problems obtaining a quote for your file.

Why should I sign up for an account?

Once you register and login, you won’t have to fill in your name/address and shipping info again. So each time you need to upload a file or get a manual offline quote the process will be faster.

What file format should my file be?

We only accept stl files, which can be in Binary or ASCII format.

The website doesn’t give me a price for my uploaded model. What now?

In most cases, the price can automatically be calculated online. However, the price is not always available, and this can be for several reasons i.e. dimensional problems, errors in the design etc.. When this occurs, you will be presented with a ‘Get a Manual Quote’ button on the page. We will contact you within 48 hours during business days once you submit the manual quote.

How big can I make my model?

The maximum build volume area is 300X300X300 for plastics.

How long does it take to print a model?

The standard lead time (time between placement and shipment of your order) is 5-10 working days (except for priority orders), depending on the complexity, material, and finishing of your order. Most of the orders are shipped out within 10 business days.

Why does it take so long to upload a file?

There can be many factors for the time it takes for a file to be uploaded. Here are a few:

  • You may have a slow internet connection for file uploading. This is controlled by your ISP. The latter can also make your uploading time out.
  • There may be many users online slowing the connection down.
  • Your file is very detailed in its design and this can slow things down as the quote engine needs to read all of your file before it can give a result.
